FILE TYPE COLLECTION
Image File Types & Extensions
Browse image file types and extensions for viewing, editing and web delivery, including PNG, JPG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, HEIF and SVG.
Choose a workflow
Decide whether you want to view a picture, edit it or export another version. Viewing support is not evidence for every editing or export feature. This hub organizes the task without promising that one format is always best.
Inspect before editing
Consult the reviewed opening workflow and keep the original to compare with an edited version.
Name the properties you need
Write down whether you need transparency, particular dimensions or a target file size. Check the specific guide rather than inferring these from a thumbnail.
Check the destination
Confirm accepted formats and constraints with the receiving application. This hub does not convert images or guarantee compatibility.
Common tasks and format choices
Typical workflows
View photos, preserve transparency, publish web graphics, or exchange editable artwork. PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, HEIF, and SVG serve different workflows.
Compatibility checklist
Check the destination application, browser support, transparency needs, and whether the file must remain editable. Keep an original before exporting another format.
